A group of practitioners in uniform at a seminar

Seminar · October 18, 2026

A four-hour block on retaining your sidearm in a clinch and on the ground, taught by our head coach and a 20-year patrol veteran.

This seminar focuses on the single most important problem in law enforcement grappling: keeping your weapon while controlling a resisting subject. We cover retention from the standing clinch, from bottom positions, and while transitioning to handcuffing.

Officers should attend in duty gear with a training (inert) weapon. Loaner blue guns are available. POST continuing-education credit is available for Colorado officers.
